A Working Way To Register At Yahoo Without A Phone Number

Yahoo registration process without phone numberThis is going to be short and sweet because it actually works and if you think about it, you’ll kick yourself for not figuring it out yourself. The simple and easy way to register a Yahoo account with a real phone number is by using someone else’s.

Wait! Really? Yes, go try it yourself.

There are two possible outcomes that will occur after your 1 attempt which could turn into two. Now this is going to sound really shady and I know I’m going to get a lot of flack in the responses for this, but this is how you do it. After reading this, go to the next section where I show you the other way.

All you need to do is enter any local land or mobile number into the phone number section of the registration page. Make sure to enter the area code, and once you’ve filled in all the information, the registration will be a success.

I’ve tried this twice now and it has worked, just fine and in the end, I’m the proud owner of a few brand new Yahoo mail accounts.

What about the random phone number?

It’s simple. Go into your account settings and remove it. Now that you will have entered that page, you will be required to enter a valid alternative email address and your postal code – go ahead and do that (you’ll have to verify the new email address) and once you hit save, that’s it – the phone number is gone and not associated with the account any longer.

What if they ask me for telephone verification?

It might have been wise of me to say this first but the other way you can register a Yahoo account is by using the phone number of someone you know. Find someone you know who doesn’t really use the internet that much or at all and doesn’t for the life of them care for having a Yahoo account or not.

Tell them that you plan on using their number “just to get a quick text message verification code” and if they could tell you what it is once they get it. You can do this while you’re on the phone with them if you opt to use the text messaging service to receive the verification code.

What about landlines?

You can use a land line to verify your Yahoo account too! On the verification screen there will be an option to get a text message or receive a call. Choose to receive the call and make sure your friend or family member is ready to get the verification number.

Your best bet is to be there with them when the call comes in. It makes things much more easier and like the old saying goes; if you want to get something done right, do it yourself.

Clearing your tracks

However which method you use – either a random local number or a friend’s/family member’s number to register your Yahoo account – remember to go back into your settings and remove the number- it’s just common decency.

Happy Yahoo mailing!

No longer working. It makes you send a text, which you cannot on a land line. Call option is no longer available. It won’t let you use another line to verify
