Carnations became the symbol for Mother’s Day when Anna Jarvis chose white ones as the emblem because it was her own mother’s favourite flower. The Iris is typically associated with the 25th wedding anniversary and can mean wisdom, faith, and hope. A white Iris is for purity and yellow ones are for passion.
